Rapid is a brand-new hackable text editor designed for web development. It's designed with beginners in mind, especially students learning front-end web development. Code editors like Visual Studio Code are bloated both in size and speed for beginners, and that is why Rapid is built to be extremely fast, lightweight, and intuitive to complete newcomers.

Rapid was first released in June 2025 by Eldiiar Bekbolotov as a sophomore (grade 10) in high school.
